General

PlaneMaker's Standard > Systems > Limits 1 Tab is used to configure limiting values for a variety of mostly engine related parameters; however, there are a few limit settings not related to engines. In old versions of X-Plane with less refined systems models, and where 2D panels were prevalent, these limit values were only used to auto-generate 2D instrument graphics; however, those days are gone. As X-Plane have evolved and systems simulations have increased in fidelity, these simulations now depend on these limit values. You should endeavor to enter these values as best as you can for the best accuracy of your model.

You will note that each parameter have a checkbox between values, in the column labled YELLOW . Recalling that these parameters were initially designed to create instrument graphics, not all instrument faces have yellow region markings, some go direct between red/green regions. The yellow checkbox allows you to tell X-Plane if the parameter has a yellow region. If you are not using these values to drive 2D gauge graphics, then you do not need to use the yellow checkbox options; however, the limiting values should be entered regardless, for use by other systems algorithms.
