Prop Design Checklist

All of the following fields, at minimum, must be entered to configure a working propeller. These fields as sufficient to configure a fixed pitch propeller.

On Standard > Engines > Props 1 Tab

  • Set number of props and Prop Type
  • Set number of blades per prop
  • Set Prop radius
  • Set root and tip chords
  • Set Design TAS
  • Set Design RPM
  • Set Design AoA, Root and Tip
  • Set Max Allowable Element Pitch.

The following are optional, depending on prop features and prop type

  • Constant Speed Propeller

  • Helo Main Rotor

  • Helo Tail Rotor

  • Constant Mach

  • Constant AoA

  • Swept Blade
